The Day of the Contest
The day is finally here. It's been a roller coaster ride, and both Jas and I are very excited and pumped up for the contest today evening.
We have our contest de-briefing at 12pm, and a dress rehearsal at 5 pm. The contest it self starts at 6.30pm
We have checked out the contest arena, it is a huge hall, and usually there are about 300 people for the interdistrict contest. However this time, since their are 13 districts competing, it is going to be split up. Organisers are not sure as to how the split will be in terms of numbers so I guess we'll just have to see what happens.
I will post a full update of the contest and of course the results that everyone is so eagerly anticipating later on tonight.

All the best Jasvir - I think if my timing is right, the competition is over - and you are now preparing to go 'all the way".

Kia Ora Jasvir and Hari,
CONGRATULATIONS!! I checked out the TI website and saw that you were placed third in your group. To achieve this feat on an international stage is truly overwhelming! You were out there with the world's best speakers - phew, that itself is fantastic!!
May you strive to achieve greater heights. Now you can easily enjoy the rest of the conference.

Third is a fantastic result, especially as the other two placegetters had been to this contest before. Superb well done; you have set a high standard.
This is the first step toward becoming ; no being recognised as the World Champion speaker you are
